Not Perfect

We are not a perfect church, but we are a purpose full church.
As I reflect on my church and the great leaders God has given us, I am so grateful we don’t shadowbox.
“So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.”
1 Corinthians 9:26
We are not a perfect church and that’s not what God called us to be. Perfection was never our assignment…purpose was. Church Inside Out exists not to polish our image, but to pursue our mission.
Paul reminds us that we’re not shadowboxing or swinging at the air. We aren’t just gathering, singing, and hoping something good happens. We’re moving with intentionality, with our eyes fixed on Jesus and our feet following where He leads into neighborhoods, broken places, and everyday lives.
We don’t fight for comfort or appearance. We fight for people’s souls. We don’t just gather; we go. We’re not swinging wildly at the air; we’re striking at the heart of darkness with the light of Christ.
A church that waits until it’s perfect will never move. But a church that walks in purpose will see God’s power.
When we move forward, mistakes will happen. People will fail. Plans won’t always unfold as we dreamed. But if we keep our hearts aimed at God’s purpose to make disciples, love people, and bring the Kingdom to the streets then even our weaknesses become part of His story of redemption.
Let’s not shadowbox the enemy or dance around our calling. Let’s land our punches where they count on apathy, fear, and comfort. Let’s fight the good fight with clarity, not confusion; with direction, not distraction.
We are not a perfect church. But we are a purpose full church and what a blessing it is to be a part of it!
Grateful for our church stepping up in moments like these when people need help the most.
